The short version

The calculator runs in your browser. We never ask for, and you should never enter, anything about patients. If you ask for the full report, we keep your email and the practice totals you typed. We never sell them.

What stays in your browser

The numbers you type are worked out on your device. They are also remembered in your browser's local storage, so they are still there when you come back. Nothing is sent to us at this step. Clearing your browser's site data removes them.

What we keep if you ask for the report

Your work email
Your EHR, number of locations and, if you write one, your biggest optical headache
Whether you opted in to updates
The practice totals you typed (prescriptions, pairs sold, average sale, frame counts, wholesale cost, remakes)
The date and time you asked

We use these to send your report, to follow up about the tracker we're building, and, if you opted in, to send occasional updates. The totals help us understand typical practices in aggregate.

What we never collect

Patient names, dates of birth, contact details, prescriptions, chart numbers or any other patient information. The form has no place for it, and the tool doesn't need it.

Where it's stored

The site and its database run on Cloudflare in the United States. We don't share your details with anyone else, except an email service provider if we add one to send the report.

Your choices

Every email has an unsubscribe link. To see or delete what we hold about you, email mcprofess@gmail.com and we'll do it within 30 days.
